About the event
Breastfeeding class developed for YOU using the curriculum Ready, Set, Baby developed by Gillings School of Global Public Health and endorsed by the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. This class includes information how your body prepares to breastfeed, why it's so important to breastfeed your newborn, what is skin-to-skin time and why is that necessary, how frequently an newborn feeds, and what I need to think about before returning to work. It's a great place to learn why breastfeeding is sometimes challenging, how each person can work at it to make it work for them, and where you can find support for breastfeeding in the hospital and at home.
