OUR BACKGROUND

As a fairly new local business with a home base in Winnebago, we attribute our reputation to the lasting relationships that we’ve developed over 20 years of combined lactation consulting, helping mothers succeed with their infant feeding goals. We are committed to providing the highest level of service to all the families we serve.

Our plan is to reach breasfeeding mothers in a 4-county area - Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago counties in Northern Illlinois.

BREASTFEEDING CAFE'

Here For You

This is one of our most popular services available. As a support group setting it’s made a big difference for many of our customers, and is provided with the highest level of excellence. With this service, we offer infant weight checks, before and after feeding weights and are able to answer questions on the spot. Great opportunity to meet other moms too! Whenever you work with MOMS Lactation Resource Center, you can trust that you’re in great hands.

PRENATAL BREASTFEEDING CLASS

Couples class

Paula and Jennifer are using the Ready, Set, Baby class design recommended by the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. It's a little longer than regular hospital classes, but gives you more information and the ability to ask your personal questions. We care about you and helping you understand this important decision.

WE WILL DO HOME VISITS!!

After almost a year from our start-up we are still excited to be able to serve women and infants in the Northern Illinois area! Paula and Jennifer remain passionate about helping women achieve their infant feeding goals. We would love to meet you prenatally to help you define what is the best way to feed your baby. We can come to see you after delivery in the hospital or at your home. We will continue to support you for as long as you wish.

If you have questions or feel you are struggling please call us and set up a time for one of us to come to your home or schedule to see us in the office.

Our appointments can usually accomodate your schedule.

PAULA HART RN, IBCLC CCE

Co-owner

Paula Hart is a registered nurse in the State of IL for over 40 years, is a Certified Childbirth Educator, and is an IBCLC lactation consultant. Paula once envisioned what offering lactation support to families when they need it would look like. After a conversation with Jennifer she helped establish MOMS Lactation Resource Center.

JENNIFER BECK, BS IBCLC

Co-owner

Jennifer Beck has worked with breastfeeding families at a local WIC office for the past 20+ years. She received her IBCLC while she was there to ensure the best for the families she serves. After Jennifer and Paula talked about the dream to support families when they need it, the idea for MOMS Lactation Resource center was born.
